About this event

SHAPING WHAT'S NEXT: a decade of transitions & transformation

Like everything about life in 2021, this year’s Ten-Year Forecast summit will be different, adapting to the shifting horizons of the post-pandemic landscape. We recognize that remote, distributed teams are with us to stay, and that we all need better examples of how to bring presence, immersion, and playfulness into our digital space that’s so far been dominated by grids of faces trapped in tiny boxes.

An Agenda Designed to Fit Your Needs

This year's Ten-Year Forecast Summit will offer a daily menu of immersive journeys and dynamic keynotes—each dedicated to sharpening your foresight skills and surfacing insights imperative to long-term thinking and strategic planning. We invite you to join these sessions with foresight practitioners and futures thinkers from other sectors and geographies.

To cultivate opportunities for the networking and idea-sharing that are so core to events like this, for the first time ever we’ll be creating “pods” of participants to experience this journey together, and swap insights.

DAILY CEREMONIES

Daily Ceremonies are bursts of playful inspiration to cultivate and catalyze your foresight mindset. Each day of our 2021 Ten-Year Forecast Summit, we invite all participants to start their journey with a diverse mix of warm-up exercises and other surprises.

DYNAMIC KEYNOTES

Join us daily for keynotes with exciting authors, futurists, and new media edge-pushers.

IMMERSIVE JOURNEYS INTO THE NEW OPERATIONAL LANDSCAPE

The events of the last couple years have revealed how many of our foundational assumptions have been fraying for decades, with tremendous change looming between now and 2031. From the role of evidence in decision-making to the ways we seek out meaning and belonging, we are experiencing a set of profound transitions in core pillars of our operational environment. During these sessions on the New Operational Environment, IFTF will provide experiences to highlight past and emerging transitions, helping you identify opportunities to shape this emerging landscape.

Logistics

This year’s Ten-Year Forecast Summit will leverage an accessible, web-based platform called OhYay. OhYay enables us to design tightly facilitated, collaborative experiences that marry content and interactivity together in compelling and intuitive new ways, empowering us to explore the past, present, and future of our operating landscape. Our goal is to leverage the best of emerging new technologies and literacies to create a hybrid event experience that facilitates a meaningful and inspirational journey to the world of 2031, not just in terms of the content we’ll be exploring, but in how we’ll take that journey together.
